  BLITZ BASKETBALL

A Basketball Club for Boys and Girls

BASKETBALL STARTS HERE!

Interested in Basketball? We have you covered!

We offer all the steps needed for kids interested in basketball—from Beginners to House Leagues to Rep Basketball—we have a program for you!

Click on the ‘Steps’ below to check out all our programming!

  • The ‘power skating’ of basketball for beginners ages 5-10. This program is focused on fundamentals and fun. All sessions led by ADULT coaches with over 100 years of combined playing and coaching basketball experience! Beginners are taught the proper techniques in dribbling, passing, footwork and shooting all while staying active throughout the entire session. Fun drills and small sided games (1v1, 2v2 etc..) are used to keep players moving the entire session. Limited numbers in each session ensures maximum engagement with a basketball in their hands. Great program for beginners and for those playing house league who want extra reps focusing on the fundamentals. CLICK HERE for more information on this program.

  • The next step in our basketball programming for players ages 8-15. This is a teaching house league with skills and drills and 3x3 game play. Players are taught offensive and defensive movements and are placed on teams and compete in league play which culminates in a playoff and championship night. Players should be able to dribble continuously and shoot on a regular 10 foot net in order to participate.

3v3 is a great way to learn and help develop basketball “IQ” early – as well as how to move with and without the ball. Our program also ensures all children participate in every offensive and defensive series (unlike 5 on 5 play which often sees some kids standing without getting required touches).

CLICK HERE for information on the benefits of 3x3 play, the different league nights we offer and registration.

  • Saturday Morning House League - Skills sessions to practice and 5v5 games with playoffs and cham[ioships. Registration now OPEN! CLICK HERE for all the details and registration.

  • Rep basketball involves players trying out for a rep team in late August - early September. Rep teams are selected by the coaches and are organized by birth year. Teams practiced at least twice a week during their season (Sept. to April/May - dependent on age group) and compete in games and tournaments that will require travel. Coaches set the practice and game schedule. Rep fees normally range from $1000-$1200 - depending on the amount of games a team schedules. Fees cover items like Uniforms, practices, tournaments, games, insurance, registration. Our rep teams also receive 10 Free Training session from our partners at IBSA Basketball (Basketball Trainers).

Teams and tryouts for the next season are updated in June/July with tryouts taking place Late August-Early September.
